Preparing the Chicken for Perfect Summer Grilling
Start by selecting your favorite chicken cuts—breasts, thighs, or drumsticks work well for grilling. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which helps achieve a nice sear and prevents steaming.
Season the chicken generously with your preferred herbs and spices. A simple marinade of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper can add a fresh summer flavor.
Let the chicken sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors. This step ensures your summer meal is both flavorful and tender.
Using the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer for Grilling
Set your Ninja Foodi Air Fryer to the ‘Air Fry’ mode. Place the seasoned chicken into the dual baskets, ensuring they are not overcrowded to allow proper air circulation.
Insert the Smart Cook Thermometer probe into the thickest part of the chicken. Select the ‘Smart Cook’ function and set the target internal temperature to 165°F (74°C) for poultry.
Start the cooking process. The Air Fryer will cook the chicken evenly and monitor its temperature, alerting you when it reaches the perfect doneness for summer grilling indoors.
Finishing Touches and Serving Tips
Once the Smart Finish alerts you that the chicken has reached 165°F, carefully remove it from the Air Fryer. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes to retain juices and enhance flavor.
For an extra summer touch, brush the chicken with barbecue sauce or serve with fresh summer salads and grilled vegetables.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked, juicy summer chicken—no outdoor grill needed!
Cleaning and Maintenance
After cooking, allow the Air Fryer to cool slightly. Remove the baskets and wash them with warm, soapy water. The stainless steel exterior can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Regular cleaning ensures your Ninja Foodi Air Fryer stays in top condition for all your summer recipes.
